Luxury Harties escape

Four gates — all required
Complete every gate between 1 July and 30 September 2026 (SAST) to qualify for the draw. Partial progress is visible in the app but does not enter you until gate 4 is done. Track progress under Profile → Competitions → La Joya once signed in.

Gate 1 · Install & register
Download Dam Bites from Google Play or the App Store, then sign in or create your account.

Gate 2 · 10 registered friends with your code
Share your referral link from Profile → Share (message includes
dambites.co.za/download?ref=and your code). Each friend must download the app, register, and enter your referral code under Profile → Have a referral code? within 7 days of joining.Only registered friends who applied your code count — and their signup must fall inside the entry window (1 Jul – 30 Sep 2026). Share taps alone do not count toward gate 2.

Gate 3 · 3 venue trophies (R100+ each)
At three different Partner venues (restaurants, activities, or accommodation), complete both steps at each spot:
- Check in — scan the in-venue QR in the app.
- Record spend — enter at least R100 and the venue manager PIN. Ask the manager to sign your paper receipt at the till — you will need it for gate 4.
QR check-in alone does not unlock a trophy — spend + PIN is required. No receipt photo upload in the app. Same venue twice does not count twice.
Harties Points rules explain check-in and spend. Tables and stays are booked in the app (WhatsApp handoff) — this website is for discovery and competition info, not bookings.

Gate 4 · Social proof with #DamBites (required)
After all three spend trophies, post once on Instagram or Facebook — a carousel with up to three photos (one per venue) is recommended. Show you at the Partner venues with your manager-signed paper receipt visible in at least one photo. This gate is required for competition entry but not for general Harties Points or loyalty outside this campaign.
Caption must include #DamBites and tag @DamBites (and @LaJoyaHarties when the handle is live). We verify posts manually before the draw. Email st.apps.alot@gmail.com if we need to match your post to your account.
When it runs
- Entry window: 1 July 2026 – 30 September 2026, 23:59 SAST (all four gates must complete in this period)
- Draw: ~14 October 2026 — random selection from eligible entrants (tentative date; operator confirms before comms)
- Winner notified: email + in-app notification; public announcement with winner consent
Competition terms
- Prize: One weekend stay for two at La Joya Lodge, Broederstroom / Hartbeespoort (subject to availability and blackout dates). La Joya sponsors the prize; Dam Bites runs the app mechanics and draw.
- Entry: All four gates during the entry window — (1) install & register, (2) 10 registered friend referrals with your code applied (signups in window), (3) 3 distinct Partner venue trophies (R100+ spend each via QR check-in + manager PIN in-app), and (4) a verified #DamBites social post showing you at Partner venues with signed receipt visible.
- Spend proof: Amount + venue manager PIN in the app; manager signs your paper receipt at the venue (shown in your gate 4 social post). No receipt photo upload in the app.
- Social proof (gate 4): Required for competition entry. One Instagram or Facebook post after 3 trophies; carousel recommended; caption includes #DamBites + tag @DamBites. Verified by manual review before draw.
- Does not count: Share taps without registered referrals; QR check-in without R100+ spend + PIN; Harties Points balance or tier; visit-only check-ins without spend trophies.
- Eligibility: South African residents aged 18+. No purchase required to enter; gate 3 requires real venue spend as a qualifying activity.
- Disqualification: Fraud, duplicate accounts, fake spend, or self-referrals may be excluded at Dam Bites discretion.
- Privacy: Entrant data used for competition administration under our Privacy Policy; incorporated by reference in Terms of Use.

Smaller Partners can add meal gift cards, drinks, and activity passes — the long tail of Harties hospitality stacks beside La Joya's anchor prize.
